About St. Mark's Shiremoor...

St. Mark's Shiremoor is the Anglican Parish Church serving Shiremoor and the surrounding locality.  A modern Church, opened in 1967, St. Mark's is situated on Brenkley Avenue, sign posted from Park Lane, the main road through Shiremoor.  A number of community groups operate from the Church Building including a lunch club, ladies group, uniformed youth organisations and in addition to church services, a wide range of events take place throughout the year.

Everyone is welcome to join in our Church services.  The main Eucharistic service is held on a Sunday morning at 9.30am.  Our thriving Junior Church is also at 9.30am and regularly caters for up to two dozen children (in 3 groups) who join the main Sunday service partway through.  Tea, coffee (and occasionally, bacon sandwiches) are served in the hall area immediately after the service.
